Perhaps you recognize the lady in the fedora hat on the left of the photo above. Maybe you know her from "The L Word," or maybe you recognize her as one of the women who thought the Yoplait yogurt was "so good." Or maybe you know her from indie/cult bands The Murmurs and Gush. And if you don't know her at all, allow me to introduce you to Leisha Hailey. One half of the electro pop indie group Uh Huh Her.
The other half on the right is Camila Grey. Maybe you've seen her and didn't even know it as she's played bass and/or keyboards for many artists that you may know and adore, such as: Dr. Dre, Kelly Osbourne, Busta Rhymes, and most recently, she was on tour with Adam Lambert as part of his live band.
Together they make up Uh Huh Her. They put out an EP called, "I See Red" in 2007, and an awesome record called "Common Reaction" in 2008. I'm anticipating their new record "Nocturnes" due out this Spring. (So, VERY soon! Eeek!) They also had a song featured in the Oscar Nominated Film, "The Kids Are All Right" called, "Same High."
Here's a little taste of their sound, enjoy "Not A Love Song" (off of "Common Reaction)
Uh Huh Her also just announced a Spring Tour a week or so ago, here's their announcement!
If you liked what you heard, I hope you check out their website, which will lead you to their Twitter, and Facebook pages. (There you can also purchase their CDs and check out their rad merch!)
And if they come to a city near you, you should go!
Well, that's it for today folks!
I'm sure I'll end up posting something before Friday, so be on the lookout!
Much love!
XoXo
